Thanks for visiting our page. Welcome to Fresh Ayr Walkies, our dog walking and Pet Sitting service in the Ayr, Prestwick, Alloway and surrounding areas. Myself, Anne and Millie the Wheaten Terrier are the familiar faces you will encounter most along with my daughter Hannah.
A little bit about us… From a young age I have been an animal lover, over the years have had many varieties of pets. Hannah is my mini me and just as passionate about anything hairy, furry, fluffy or feathered. Today our pets are Millie, Ron & Mo our Budgies, Jess our pony and Isla the rescue westie, who is my parents dog. My husband Thomas is a firm favourite with all the dogs and they soon learn he is the big softie of the house.
Thomas decided to surprise Hannah with a little budgie, Lou, his idea being he would have a say in a family pet. A few days later Ron the rescue budgie arrived followed shortly after by Millie. We lost Lou a few years ago but Ron who is around 10 or 11 is still doing well. We had a little rescue canary, Jellybean who was sadly left at a bus stop by her previous owners she however has passed away too. Little Mo, the budgie joined us a few months ago, again a wee rescue, she loves Ron and is settling in. Jess the pony joined us in 2018 and Thomas is slowly coming around to her. We truly love our animals, all shapes and sizes.
In 2015 Millie gave birth to the most gorgeous litter of puppies. Thanks to a wonderful breeder and friend we had a smooth pregnancy and 7 healthy puppies. An absolute dream come true of mine since I was a little girl. In 2018 she had another 2 beautiful puppies.
I am lucky enough to realise a second childhood wish, to work with animals. It has taken a long time and I can truly say its the best job, the dogs that join the Fresh Ayr Walkies are not clients dogs to me but my pack and they are loved and adored by us. We look after them as if they were our own, and many clients I now considered to be friends. I dont consider this to be work, I consider my job a privilige and a pleasure- even on the wettest day!!
